[SCA-Dance] Still Hearing Great Things About KWDMS 9

Dear Dance Enthusiasts,

It's been just over a month since the 9th Known World Dance and Music
Symposium ended, but I continue to hear from people about the
fantastic time they had, both during the classes and in the evening
balls and performances. This was an event to remember, and it was made
so by the enthusiasm of our participants and the dedication of our
many volunteers. I am still in awe of the outpouring of support, time,
and talent from people as far away as the Kingdom of An Tir, to as
close as the barony in my own backyard, Middle Marches.

Sometimes, I sit and think about where we would have been without so
much help from all of you. As a case in point, the court masque on
Saturday evening involved the outside labor of about 45 people, many
of them in specialized roles that I could never have done on my own.
Without the assistance of each individual person, I am certain that
there would not have been a show at all. No actors, costumes, set, or
music--just a bare stage for an ordinary dance session with recorded
music. I am continually amazed at what happens when so many talented
people come together to create something larger than themselves. So
once again, I want to thank you for the event that each of you created
though your support and dedication. The results of your efforts helped
build great memories that will last a lifetime. :-)

If you will be in attendance at Pennsic, I would encourage you to come
out for the Grand Ball on Tuesday evening in the Barn at 8pm, in
addition to the other nightly dance revels. (See

see many of you at the next Known World Dance and Music Symposium,
KWDMS 10, which will be held June 20-23, 2013, in Saratoga Springs,
NY. (Search for "Knowne Worlde Dance and Music Symposium 10" on
facebook.) It sounds like it's going to be an excellent time!
