I don't know of any references to singing bransles. There are plenty of references to singing while dancing caroles, which are thought to be similar dances.

Subject: [SCA-Dance] Branles & Chansons

Greetings,

just wondering lately: what are our sources for sung branles? Is there
anything online? I mannaged to trace up online on Gallica some french
sixteenth century songbooks, but nothing particullary related to
dance.

There appears to be interesting publication by Compagnie Matre
Guillaume, but nowhere to by found around here (
http://webcmg.org/publications.html ), does anybody have any
experience with it? And since I allways preferd the original sources,
any suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks for sharing!

Mikuláš
