Director Geisler conducts Ensemble AROW in a program that features the music of well known Eastern European composers, Dvorak, Shostakovich & Bartok, but also includes important works by others unfamiliar to concert-goers. The second half of the program immerses the audience in the folk music and song that inspired these composers whose music finds its roots in the folk traditions of their part of the world.

The presentation of both classical and folk music in one concert makes for a program that is filled with a variety of music and moods that catches the audience up in the Folk Spirit of Eastern Europe.

We invite you to this unusual program that we are sure will inspire you. You will be intrigued not only by the music you hear but also by the array of players and recorders you see performing it. The church will resound with beautiful melodies, harmonies & rhythms, and you will see the extensive recorder family played by musicians making this marvelous music that penetrates to the heart
