What is thrummed knitting? it is knitting with bits of yarn or roving, to make a fuzzy surface. it can then be fulled or felted resulting in super warm hat, mitten or slippers (or even a cloak!) its like making your own fur, but without harming any sheep in the process. So, it is fun, neat looking, sustainable (no sheep were harmed, etc. ...) and period!
