Of Brentwood, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 8, 2012. Beloved
wife of Robert Burns for over 24 years; daughter of the late Geneva
(Hall) and Arthur Tujague of Mountainside, NJ; beloved mother of Gordon
(Amy) and Erik; loving grandmother of Sarah. Vicki served her community
as a licensed social worker for Allegheny County (Children, Youth and
Family Services) for over 32 years protecting many families and
children. Vicki graduated Drake University in Des Moines, IA, with a
bachelor's and attained her master's degree in Social work from the
University Of Pittsburgh. Vicki enjoyed a long membership in the Society
for Creative Anachronism (SCA) as "Baroness Serena of the Peacemakers."
She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, an active theater
participant, sorority sister of Alpha Lambda Delta National Women's
Honor Sorority, the Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Fraternity, the
Zeta Thi Eta National Women's Honor Sorority for Drama Majors and the
Theta Alphi Phi Drama Fraternity, a devoted member of Calvary Episcopal
Church in Shadyside, and member of the Chaine Des Rotisseurs Capitre De
Pittsburgh. Vicki enjoyed world travel, epicurean experiences and
celebrating high tea. She showed champion dogs, having participated in
the Westminster Kennel Club. Vicki was energetic, loved life and will be
dearly missed by her beloved family and countless friends. Family and
friends will be welcomed on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at LAUGHLIN
MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon 412-531-5100. A
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock in
Laughlin Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, to honor Vicki's memory
and wishes, contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy
