Ballachlagan celebrates the 12th Night (26 days early). Many plans are
in store for the revelers.<br>

A <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1321902110_2">King and Queen</span> of Misrule will be crowned to rule the evening's
festivities.

friends and great company..<br>
<br>
Take part in a feast with the main dish prepared by Master Huon
Damebriddge. All others are asked to bring a potluck side dish. Guests
are encouraged to keep their dishes period, but it is not mandatory
(anyone searching for good period recipes should visit Master Huon's
site <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.godecookery.com/"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1321902110_3">http://www.godecookery.com</span></a>
). The site is discreetly damp.<br>
<br>
A gift exchange shall take place for all people wanting to partake.
Handmade gifts of period basis are encouraged to further A&S
endeavors. There are many new faces to both groups who could use SCAdian
period items. Once again handmade gifts are not mandatory. For those
interested in purchasing gifts, please keep the gifts in the $5 to $10
range. Please buy/make gifts for the same gender or make them usable for
both genders.<br>
<br>
An open bardic competition is planned for after the feast. Anyone
wishing to partake may do so. Entrees could be of any measure; story,
song, instrument, poem, dance. The winner shall be proclaimed by the
Queen of Misrule.<br>
<br>
An A&S competition is also planned for the evening with the winner
being chosen by the King of Misrule. Entrees may be auctioned off (with
the artisan's permission) via a silent auction. Proceeds will go into
the Ballachlagan coffers.</span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;">

<font color="#000000"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt;">We plan for there to
be dancing, both European and Middle Eastern.<br>
<br>
There will be a 50/50 raffle, proceeds to also go into the Ballachlagan
coffers. There will also be door prizes.<br>
<br>
There is a limited amount of outdoor space available for those
interested in marshaled pick ups and challenges before the feast,
although there are no facilities to shower.<br>
<br>
We are suggesting a $5 ($2.50 for minors 6-17) donation to cover the
hall and main course of the feast. Doors will open at <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1321902110_4">1:00</span> and the
celebration will end at <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1321902110_5">9:00</span>.<br>

Directions: Take your best voyage to Rt. 2 in <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1321902110_8">Follansbee, WV</span>. Turn East
onto WV 27/Allegany St for 1.4 miles. Turn left onto WV 27/Eldersville
Rd for 3 miles.
