I hope everyone is gearing up for a nice, long Memorial Day weekend. I also hope you'll be able to join us for a couple of hours this Sunday for May Barony Meeting and.... A&S Wars! Read more here: http://www.debatablelands.org/barony-meeting.html. Find directions here: http://www.debatablelands.org/fight_directions.html. No garb required. Come down at any time. :)

The weather looks like it will be pretty nice, so remember your sunscreen and water and shade if you got it.

Regular practices will be happening as usual (Archery & Thrown Weapons at 11am, Fighting & Fencing a little after 1pm) in addition to A&S Wars. Barony Meeting and A&S Wars begins at 1pm with the showing off of the booty, then the Archery portion. After that, the Thrown Weapons and Fencing portions will run concurrently. The Heavy Tourney will follow. Announcements will be very short and will happen between events. The day will also feature a short Baronial Court.

Notes on scoring: Each archer will have 6 arrows to prove his or her skill. Thrown Weapons will consist of a series of one-on-one bouts, similar to a round robin. Fencing and Heavy Fighting tourneys will both be round robins. The victorious will will GLORY for their A&S sponsors. The martial participants will then be scored using ranked points, and one team will be declared the winner! The winning team (Martial and A&S together) will then have MUCH GLORY! And also the right to distribute the booty.

The teams competing are The Choir, The Wednesday Scriptorium, The Children, The Cooks Guild, I Genesii, The Costumers, and The Brewers Guild. Good luck to you all!

This is going to be fun....

In Levitate et Caritate
~Hilda, Seneschale

The New Busy is not the too busy.
