In person sewing at my house this Sunday and most every Sunday, except 
war practice. Sewing is from 2pm to 5pm at 1105 Shady Ave, Pittsburgh, 
15232. We really really really need scroll cases. I have plenty of 
cardboard, fabric, table space, sewing machines and a serger, a power 
cutter for cardboard and scissors for fabric. This is an urgent call. 
Iris festival is in 5 weeks and we need scroll cases. Furthermore, so 
does the kingdom. I'd like to be able to donate some to the kingdom at 
war practice and possibly at iris festival. You can bring cardboard or 
fabric, but you must take any unused with you. I'm full here. I will 
also collect empty scroll cases to return them to the barony. You can 
also give them to the signet Rachel or the Baron or Baroness.

Although the sewing focus for the next few weeks is scroll cases, if you 
want help sewing Japanese or something else, please stop by.

Just a reminder, the marathon is this weekend. The route from fight 
practice to my house should open between 1:30 and 2pm on Sunday.

Greetings fair Barony and friends,
This Sunday, May 07, Baron Alonzio and I (Clewin) will be holding a spear
fighting class at the normal BMDL practice location (Washington Blvd
parklet) from 2pm - 3pm. If you have ever been interested in learning more
about spears in either armored fighting or rapier, this is for you! We will
be presenting the theory and use of spears in single fighting and
melees.Please consider attending if you are free. There will be some
training spears to use, but please bring your own if you have them.

Sorry for the delay in sending this to the list, the forwarder from
Storfrettir appears to not be working.

The radar shows that it is going to rain all day, so I am going to cancel
practice this week.

Practice will resume as normal next week May 14.

There will be no practice Sunday May 21 due to War Practice.

Scroll cases needed for Barony and Kingdom. With War Practice and Iris 
Festival coming up, both kingdom and barony will likely have plenty of 
scrolls to hand out to worthy nobles. It would be swell if there were 
scroll cases to protect the scrolls so they can be transported home free 
of damage. Come sew scroll cases. I have necessary materials, tools, and 
sewing machines. I need volunteers to come put the scroll cases 
together. Date: Sunday May 14th, Location: 1105 Shady Ave Pittsburgh, 
15232, Time: 2-5pm.

The June Iris Festival is coming up, and Forveleth, our head troll, 
needs people to help run the troll table. We need two people at the 
table the whole time; please send her your availability and how long 
you're willing to help out (forveleth at gmail.com).

No experience is necessary; everything you need to do will be explained 
when you get there. The troll table at the Iris Festival site has an 
excellent view of the horse arena, so it's a great way to contribute to 
the event and watch the equestrian games at the same time. Finally,

be interested!

Sharpen your knives and axes, for this Sunday May 14th we will host the
Thrown Weapons Championship for the Barony. THLord Meinolf will host the
tournament this Sunday at Thrown Weapons practice. Make sure to arrive

This is your reminder that the deadline to prereg for Pennsic is June 11th.
If you wish to camp in the Baronial Camp at Pennsic you must have completed
a paid registration by the deadline in order to get land. If you are
mailing in registrations, that ends on May 31st. You can also register for
Pennsic at War Practice this weekend. The name of the barony camp is

This Sunday, May 29th, there is in-person sewing from 2-5pm at my house, 
1105 Shady Ave, Pittsburgh 15232. My house is up the hill from the 
Sunday practice site. The primary goal is sewing scroll cases for both 
the Barony and the Kingdom . Both have a dire need for scroll cases and 
the Iris Festival is less than 2 weeks away. There will be scrolls given 
out them and we need to have scroll cases to protect them. I have all 
the necessary supplies for making them, but I need additional people to 
sew. If you have your own sewing machine that you want to bring, please 
do so. Otherwise, you can use one of mine.

If you have other sewing projects that you want to work on you can bring 
that as well.

I hope to see at least one or two people, or more, here tomorrow.
