Herein lies the report of the court of Their Excellencies, Brandubh et
Hilderun, Baron and Baroness of the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands,
presided over by Their Majesties, Byron & Ariella, King and Queen of
Æthelmearc, and attended by Their Highnesses, Arnthor and Ceirech, at the
Iris Festival on June 4th, Anno Societatis 57. Lady Jehannette Bouchart,
Comet Pursuivant, reporting, seconded by Drotinn jørundr hinn rotinn.

Afternoon Court at the Equestrian Stables:

Their Excellencies opened their court and thanked the equestrian
participants for traveling so far and competing in the challenges that day,
as well as contributing to the pageantry of the Barony and Kingdom.

Their Excellencies processed to Maple the Warhorse in her paddock and spoke
to The Honorable Lady Gesa von Wellenstein of Their appreciation of Maple.
Maple has served as the steed for newcomers at Baronial equestrian
practice, all of the Baronial Equestrian Champions, Their Excellencies, and
Their Majesties alike. Her calm and gentle temperament is most favored by
the Baroness. Because of all this, Maple was awarded an Iron Comet. The
scroll was by Lady Forveleth Dunde, as was the edible Comet token.

Court was then suspended.

Evening Court:

Their Excellencies reopened Their court and greeted the populace and
thanked them for coming to the day of pageantry and tournaments.

Their Excellencies then invited the event steward, The Honorable Lady Hara
Kikumatsu into their court. She then thanked her staff for the day. Their
Excellencies went on to announce the winners of the individual tournaments,
and The Honorable Lady Hara presented each with a favor created by her own
hand: in the heavy list bearpit, Master Jussi Laplein; in the fencing
bearpit, Don Cyrus Augur; on the thrown weapons range, Lord Godzimir the
Golden; on the archery range, Lord Skjoldr Bjorn; in the arts and sciences
competition, Mistress Irene von Schmetterling; on the youth archery range,
it was a tie between Otto Brandulfarson & Sigrid von Fredeburg, as it also
was in the youth arts & sciences competition; on the youth thrown weapons
range, the victor was Otto Brandulfarson.

Their Excellencies then invited the victor of the overall Iron Comet
competition, Count Andreas Morgan, into Their court, to receive a scroll
and a favor for his victory. They then called in the victor of the youth
Iron Comet competition, Otto Brandulfarson, so he as well could receive his
scroll and favor for his victory. The illumination for both scrolls was
done by Baron Alaric MacConnal, and the calligraphy was done by The
Honorable Lady Rachel Dalicieux.

Their Excellencies then wished to recognize the two competitors who had
competed in all five tournaments that day, and thus called in Lord
Patrokles Athenaios and Lord Ulf of the Wee Horn to receive favors in
recognition of their efforts put forth that day.

It was then requested by Their Excellencies that Lemony of the Debatable
Lands be called forth to be recognized for her participation in both
fencing and archery, as well as her ability in striking coins for the
Moneyers Guild, and thus They awarded her with a Purple Comet. The scroll
was written by Lady Sorcha McKenzie, and painted by Katrina Beese.

Rei of the Debatable Lands was then summoned by the Baron and Baroness, to
be recognized for their abilities in the fencing list and on the archery
range, and thus they were awarded with a Purple Comet. The scroll was
created by their father, Lord Reinhard Regenbogen.

It was then demanded that the illuminator of Lemony’s document was to
present herself in court, and thus Katrina Beese was summoned to the throne
of Their Excellencies. For her artistry, as well as her skills in fencing
and archery, she, too, was awarded a Purple Comet. The illumination for the
scroll was done by Lady Dorothea Stark Schütz, and the calligraphy and
words were by The Honorable Lady Rachel Dalicieux.

Lady Finé Failain was then invited into Their Excellencies’ court to be
recognized for her participation in the Debatable Choir, as well as her
abilities in clothing herself and others, and thus she was awarded a Silver
Comet. The scroll was done by The Honorable Lady Gesa von Wellenstein, and
the wordsmithing was by Baron Alaric MacConnal.

Dame Elsbeth Anne Roth and Baron Alaric MacConnal were then called into
court as a set, though to be recognized for different things. Dame Elsbeth
was to be recognized for her teaching of new heralds and work for the Known
World Online Heraldic Consultation Table. Baron Alaric was to be recognized
for hosting ethereal period Shakespeare movie nights, as well as his work
on the art and administration of the Known World Online Heraldic
Consultation Table. For both their many acts of service, they were each
awarded a Gold Comet. Their matching scrolls were by The Honorable Lady
Rachel Dalicieux, with wordsmithing done by Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope.
The Gold Comet pouches given to Dame Elsbeth and Baron Alaric were made by
Mistress Irene von Schmetterling.

Their Excellencies then saw fit to call into court the scribes, wordsmiths,
and creators of regalia to show their gratitude to them for all the art and
pageantry they contribute to the court of the Barony, and thus They gave
all of them tokens of appreciation.

It was at this point that the court of Their Excellencies Brandubh et
Hilderun was then closed.
