Message-ID: <20090213182016.GB13081@pell.home.ka8zrt.com> Greeting to all, As many of you know, Lady Caitriona sent out a missive stating that she, my daughter and myself are starting a move this weekend. Unfortunately, while it is just a short distance move, essentially moving up 19 just about a mile or two, moves are never without there excitement. Verizon seems to be supplying much of the excitment in this one, in that they have been screwing up the phone and DSL where we have been living, and disconnecting it early. We have phone service back, but this when I woke up, I found that we now have no Internet. And so... For those of you who are trying to reach us this weekend, IM and email is out, until at least Sunday. You can try calling us at the old place this weekend (412-939-0111), or at my cell, which is 614-560-3090 (you can also text me there), and is in the Dark Pages. And we should have the new phone number up Sunday, and that would be 412.367.1818. And if for some reason there is an emergency and you need to reach us but cannot, I know that Baroness Anna, Batar, Alastair and Myfanwy will also be in contact with us fairly regularly between now and Monday. I will be so glad when this move is over... Time will be given so each combatant can search their mind and spirit to create such words ?as to slay their opponent. The combatants shall battle head to head with great honor and be judged by a jury to determine the winner of each combat. Take your best route across the bloomfield bridge and turn left on Bigelow Boulevard. Follow Bigelow around the corner, get in the right lane. Remain as Bigelow becomes Craig street. Follow Craig street until it ends, turn left on Forbes. Cross the bridge, go to the third traffic light and turn right (this is a T and you can only turn right here). This is, I believe, Margaret Morrison Street -- you've just turned onto the CMU campus. Follow the road, turn right with it as it turns right. The first place you see a road and can turn left, turn left. Park anywhere. Go into the building that runs all the way down the hill, and walk as far down the hill inside the building (Baker/Porter hall) as you can go (the floor slopes, so you really are going downhill inside the building). When you get to the end of the hall, go down one floor. Find A19 (?), it will be down in the bottom-of-the-hall end. toodles, margaret From koredono at gmail.com Wed Feb 18 21:30:28 2009 From: koredono at gmail.com (Sir Koredono) Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2009 21:30:28 -0500 Subject: [SCA-BMDL] directions to dance practice In-Reply-To: <166210.11846.qm@web33608.mail.mud.yahoo.com> References: <166210.11846.qm@web33608.mail.mud.yahoo.com> Message-ID: On Feb 18, 2009, at 8:38 PM, Avraham ben Moshe wrote: > Well, I attended a few times, and then got bogged down in real life > issues....needless to say, I've completely forgotten how to get to > Porter hall from Lawrenceville.?? The answers to your questions are: ??Dance practice runs from 8 pm to 10 pm every* Thursday, usually in room A18A of Porter Hall on the CMU campus; Cai o'r Llyn is the dance master, and the dlists for it can be found at http://mail.eclecsia.org/mailman/listinfo/bmdl-dance_eclecsia.org ??We don't do regular garb nights any more, though you could wear it if you like. A while back I obtained a large, used mat cutter that I thought would be useful for cutting sheaves of pages in my bookbinding endeavors. Since this turned out not to be its intended nor ideal application, I have no need of it, and it is taking up space in my home. The device consists of a flat wooden bed (38" x 31") scored with a grid pattern, along one edge of which is a metal cutting arm. This is the sumo wrestler cousin of your everyday office "guillotine." It is quite heavy. Does anyone have a use for it? It's up for grabs. Perhaps a scriptorum has a home for it. - Michael From greenstein at earthlink.net Fri Feb 20 14:14:15 2009 From: greenstein at earthlink.net (Michael B.
