[SCA-AE] Lawsuit Discussion - Misc

Dani,  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.  For a wonderful bit of laughter in a very troubling time.

I know the BOD has not always deserved our trust.  What BOD of any organization has ever deserved trust at all times.

I personally would be happy to help and participate in any fund raising that might be needed. and the idea of shelling out a bit of money to get my name and device to pass as I most truly want them.... where do I send the check??  :)

Those who point out that in paying this we as a whole have the opertunity to grow, learn, and try to avoid anything even remotly like this in the future have a very valid point.  Even knowing as I do that background checks can only be revealing if the person in question has ever been caught and convicted ...  still they do help cover the SCA's collective arses for future issues.

I would love to believe that such things would never happen again, but in my mundane life I deal with the sexually abused all the time.  I know that far to many people want to be able to blindly trust others; and when that blind trust has found a rare but horribly twisted person who will take advantage of the vulnerable then our lititicious society will look for a lawyer and start law suits.

I personally would not mind it if I were to be subjected to back ground checks before I spend more time supervising children's activities.

-Amy

Love is my law.  Love above all.

This means that right or wrong any and all actions I take, and decisions I make will always be based in love. Love of self, others, creation, and the creators.  It also means that for me, All four of those loves must always strive for equality in my heart and soul.  It is the quest of my soul to try and live this way until the end of my days.
