[SCA-AE] Ice Dragon Thank yous

My apologies if you receive multiple copies of this.

It is late Sunday night after Ice Dragon and I am still in awe of the work
and effort the citizens of the Hael, from throughout our Kingdom and even
beyond our borders help to put into this event.

I have been going over and over all the people to thank and how to thank
them that the list becomes staggering. It may actually be easier to mention
those who weren’t there or could not help. But many people worked very hard
and deserve to be recognized for all of their help.

 

First and foremost, the MOST important people to thank are all of you who
came out to enjoy our little event. Without you, well there would not be an
event hence no one to thank. So thank you So much the wonderful citizens of
Æthelmearc, Ealdormere, The East Kingdom, The Mid Kingdom, Caid and I know
there were others Thank you one and all.

 

Next I need to acknowledge Your Ice Dragon staff. 

 

Biotta for making the pre-reg go so smoothly.

Wolfgang and his wife Jane for taking on their first Attempt at SCA trollner
and setting the bar.

Muirgel for making all the merchants happy and organizing the chaos.

Yvianne for working making the pent an undisputed success.

Tiercelin for doing such a great job on the tavern.

Ekat for having all the lists covered perfectly while wearing so many other
hats at the same time.

Ferris, Alexander and Jenna for making your tournaments fun entertaining and
informative (Jenna).

Brigette for coordinating dance efforts.

Ottfrid for once again coordinating and running a very popular Heralds
point.

Phillippo for coordinating ALL the entertainment aspects for the event and
to Cordilia for not killing me for asking him or killing him for agreeing to
help.

Cordilia for stepping up and spearheading the Children’s activities.

Liadain for being in charge of their Majesties comfort before and throughout
the event.

Julianna for designing and making sure the web-site was up to date.

Ryan for having the exchequers position so well organized while wearing
several other hats as well.

All of you have your own staff to thank and I will let you do that
yourselves. Thank you all for making the life of the Autocrat so much
easier.

 

Now for a few of the more local heroes that need to be recognized: For
Set-up and keeping me sane I would like to acknowledge Caleb, Chuck,
Muirgel, Ysebeau, Cori, Callidas, Isolda, Wolfgang, Jane, Alicia and Ferris.

For assistance during the event: Charles, Tony, Berhend, Finn, Jack, Trent,
Mark, Isabetta, Nicca, Alicia, Ysebeau, Amy, Jane, Monica, Cheryl,
Katherine, Sarah, Jessica C., Tina, and all those others who were there at a
moment’s notice to do anything that was needed.

At the end of the event there was so much help is mind boggling but there
are a few who need to be mentioned Sir Wolfstan(sp) for lending me his
household to break down the upstairs and haul it all downstairs QUIETLY
during court. It was Amazing to watch.

To Sir Callidas for lending me his squires to bring down tables and chairs.

Liam for stepping up and finding others to help with Court set-up and break
down.

Ren for helping with the chairs.

 

The break down crew was absolutely amazing as usual, I love working with all
of you we really do work on the same page. If you don’t know who these
people are let me introduce you:

Chuck, Caleb, Behr, Murigel, Tony, Eric, Jane, Alicia, Ysebeau, Ferris.

 

I am sorry to take so much of your time with this list of thank yous, but
these people deserve acknowledgment and if you need help at your event you
know these are persons who come through in a pinch for you.

 

As Autocrat it has been my absolute pleasure to bring this year’s Ice Dragon
to fruition. Thank you all who came and spent the day with the Barony of the
Rhydderich Hael. I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
