Of course.
Here we go again, insisting on rights and privileges we've never asked
for before. I've seen countless baronial, shire, college, and kingdom
newsletters where members were shown enjoying themselves.
I think having to get permission from every face in the background of
a Crown Tourney winning moment shot is absolutely ridiculous. Our
events are "private" in most legal senses, and that perhaps is the
source of the problem, but by and large there is little expectation of
privacy at them. After all, $10 and a borrowed tunic gets you in the
door.
You have essentially no legal control over how photos of you (taken in
public) are going to be used, anyway. This is silly. But don't let
that stop anyone from getting all worked up about imagined,
frightening, and highly improbable scenarios.
