[SCA-AE] spelling question?

My latin is weak but this I know.

Vivat is traditional still the most common cheer.
Vivant is rare and sounds weird.

I am a man of tradition when it comes to the SCA.
I took my buffet to the face when the chest is much more historically
accurate because that is the tradition most SCA knights follow.

The SCA is full of bad Latin (See also: In Glorias AEthelmearc)
However, that is a cheer I embrace because it is our tradition.

Likewise, I cheer Vivat as it is what has been cheered the most for
the past 40 years.

Be you a gentle of tradition or authenticity?
That is your choice. But do not worry yourself over proper grammar.

Give voice to your passion and cheer from the heart!

All for Chivalry,

Sir Tristen Sexwulf
