[SCA-AE] NMS--wider consideration

Greetings from Michael Alewright.

Personally, I draw a distinction between "members of the SCA" and
"members of Corpora." Paying dues to a California corporation that
periodically forgets that the tail isn't supposed to wag the dog may be
a necessary evil, but evil is never less odious for its necessity and it
behooves us to minimize its impact upon the things that truly matter. I
am a paid member of Corpora, but I purchase my membership in the SCA
with my sweat, not with my checkbook.

Let us of AEthelmearc never forget the echoed voices of those smiling
villains, who once declared that we would never become a Kingdom because
of Three Bad Peers among us who dared to stand in challenge to Corpora's
excesses, and upon Corpora's own ground.

In commemoration of worthy deeds,
Michael
