[SCA-AE] SCA budget and newcomers

For all those currently complaining about the price increase, Here is
something very interesting to look at...
I took that $10 from 1970, which matches the stated 40 years ago, and
compared it using all of the indexes for inflation and such to show
what that same ten dollars is equal to in today's dollars....

Current data is only available till 2008. In 2008, $10.00 from 1970 is worth:
$55.43 using the Consumer Price Index
	$44.61 using the GDP deflator
$59.65 using the value of consumer bundle
	$56.64 using the unskilled wage
$93.67 using the nominal GDP per capita
$139.09 using the relative share of GDP

These numbers are about the same through over twenty sites I tried it with...

Seems like the SCA has undervalued things considerably for the most
part... even if you include the TI subscription with a full membership
the cost is only $35 + $25 = $60... and the TI is a LOT better now
then it was then...

How loud would you be complaining if the membership costs had kept
pace with the rest of the economy?

Then there is how much more there is to do within the Society now as
well as the larger and more frequent events, plus there is usually
something happening fairly close.

Membership is still very much worth it. As for the problems with the
Kingdom newsletter, did you talk to anybody at Kingdom about that? I
did when my address was listed incorrectly and my newsletters have
been arriving with no problems every month.
