I will deal with the NMS in the future as I do now,  when checking in I 
always pay NMS for the next non-member checking in.  This is what I can 
do for a potential new member, and I have for the most part received a 
nice "thank you" from that person as a rule.  To me, it is to extend the

hand to the most important person at an event, i.e. (the newest person 
or the person at their first event), for this provides for the future of

the SCA.
