i agree with saleem wholeheartedly.

i can not count the number of times i've had someone interested in coming to
an event and then they hear the phrase "non-member fee" and are turned off.

if i were to say "the cost is $20, with a $5 discount for members" i don't
believe they would react the same way. it is a FAR more welcoming method. in
fact, i don't even need to TELL them there is a discount for members when i
talk about the event. they can hear that at the event when they troll in.

and we NEED to be welcoming. judging by the questions coming out from the
bod to the populace, we are suffering from a dwindling population. i don't
believe a $5 'tax' on new people is going to encourage people to join, but
phrase it as a discount....THAT might work...

rufina, who loves discounts and hate taxes, just like any sane person.....
