Yeah, that's why I was saying that Corporate might need to think about
the wording of their ruling. Is this enacted as a punishment (leave the
wording as is), an incentive (delete the NMS statement and include a
very short "Most SCA events offer discounts to members"), or a revenue
source (don't mention it at all and collect the money as quietly as
possible)?

Event announcements also need to be considered.  Current policy is 
that announcements must include the sentence about collecting the 
NMS.  This is easy to include and easy to enforce.  It gets trickier 
to enforce "must have a sentence about collecting the NMS or offering 
a membership discount" and being sure that the advertised site fee 
does include the NMS if the second route is taken.
