[SCA-AE] making cords

I've tried making lucet cording from Marlitt (rayon embroidery floss). It's got the
sheen of silk without the price of silk, but it absolutely does *not* stay tied --
it's too slithery. I suspect it would be really nice for couched cording trim on
garb, though.
I would probably also suggest the crochet cotton (it's cheap). I would also look
for the smaller thicknesses of perle (pearl) cotton -- size 8 or 12.
