[SCA-AE] Many Seven Deadlies Thanks

I apologize for sucking up so much bandwidth with a gushing Oscar-esque
thank you speech, but I’m going to do it anyways:

I would like to extend my personal and heartfelt thanks to all of the good
gentles that pitched in and helped get this year’s Seven Deadlies to come
off grandly. So many people deserve so much recognition, that it would be a
daunting task (at best) to list them all. So here are just SOME of the
people that stood out, for me, as unsung heroes of the event. These were
people constantly at my elbow, or at my call, willing to drop whatever they
had in hand, in order to make sure we all had a good time. I apologize for
missing surnames, the butchered spellings and mostly to the people I should
mention here, but will forget

Heero Himoura – You don’t need to actually SPRINT to every little task
that’s asked of you.

Liam (ack! I’ve lost your last name) – Parking god and Schlepper
extraordinaire.

Lord Gwydeon Apardon – A more willing set of hands, a stronger back, AND a
faster wit, are hard to find.

Lord Michael Gladewyne – Parking god and Schlepper
. IN TIGHTS!!

Lord Corbinus De Cuvis – When I find something he won’t do, or a marshal’s
warrant he DOESN’T have, I’ll let you know

Lady Éadaoin ingen Chanacáin – Ask and it shall be done.

Baroness Anastasie De Lamoure – Setting up, cleaning up, and showing us all
how it’s done, on a day that was already big enough for her.

Baron Edward Harbinger – Ever present, and always aware that there’s
something more to do, and lending a hand whenever possible.

Above all of this, there are five people to whom I must extend the deepest
and most heartfelt thanks that I possibly can.

My Lady, Desiderata Drake – The reason my head stayed (and stays) attached
to my shoulders AND pointed in the right direction. I love you.

Lord Finnr jafnkollr – Your shining example of sheer physical effort,
loading, and unloading the truck (twice), driving the truck, setting up and
breaking down pole and drape, lugging this and toting that. Plainly, you
rock, and not enough good can be said about what you did for this event. We
could NOT have done this without you.

Andreas Schmidt – Seriously, man. Take an event off. Every one I see you
at, you’re doing something to help. This weekend you saved my bacon by not
only noticing a detail about the site that I missed, but fixing it too.
Then you turned around and kept right on DOING until the not so bitter end.
You, also deserve the ‘we could NOT have done this without you’ label.

Baron? Master? (which is appropriate here?) Rian Gortyroyan – From the very
beginning of the planning all those months ago, to lugging and toting with a
broken thumb, you are no less responsible for helping me understand what was
happening and how I should proceed, than anyone else.

And finally,

My Co-Autocrat and teacher,

Baroness Jennet the Gentle – Simple thanks seems not enough. For the
responsibilities we shared, I lay the majority of the success and
accomplishment we achieved at your feet. It took many hands to get this to
happen, and you showed me how to ‘herd cats’, and have a successful event.
I’ll always be grateful for all that you did for this event and for me as a
learning autocrat. I’d do that again with you, anytime.

With undying gratitude,

Lord Marcus Claudius Cincinnatus

(REALLY not used to that
.)
