[SCA-AE] OT: sort of - help with pilgrim/elizbthn factoids

sorry about the bandwidth, but this list was the best source for what i need
that i could think of...

i'm working on building, with my classmates, an interactive learning game
simulation dealing with 'the pilgrims'. we have 4 areas for learners to
visit and i'm in charge of the "leaving england" area. which is cool, cause
i know what it's supposed to look like ;)

my problem is that i need to put little bits of interesting information into
my game tokens. ok, if it was norse, i'd just quote the havamal...but for
that period in england, i'm kinda lost. i figured if i asked YOU guys to
send me little factoids, i'd be ahead of the game 'cause i'd KNOW they were
right. things like "william shksper died 4 years before the pilgrams left
for the new world."   (i made that up, i have no idea how he fits into the
time period.)  anything that is about england/holland at the time.

NO, this isn't cheating - this is *RESEARCH* - i'm accessing the best source
available ;)  and my prof wouldn't care anyway, he thinks the sca is cool.

so if anyone wants to send me a tidbit, i'd be eternally grateful. i don't
have anything to offer in trade unless someone wants an outdated peer card.

oh. and funny is good. and we're aiming towards a fourth grade audience, so
no dirty stuff please. :)  or ok, i might like those :)
