That is very sad indeed.? He was a wonderful and memorable man and I credit him with bringing me into the SCA "way back when".

He will be missed...

For those who knew him, a member of Debatable lands,
Lord Marn de la Sombra, known mundanely as Dale Mertes.
Failed to win his final bout with death last evening.
He has passed on to where ever there is lots
of pretty ladies, and Captain Morgan to drink.
Even though he was of the Jewish faith, a
rememberence prayer on his behalf would not
be taken amiss.

At this time there is no further information.
I will post to these various lists when there is more to report.
