I have passed this message on to the people in the Shire of Hartstone that do not have access to the AEthelmearc posts, and we will be sure to bring something for the family. I know I have plenty that can be given to them. My little sister is growing too quick as well and would be perfect fits for Sky.
A member of the SCA has family across the world for help.

Renata was getting bouncebacks on this list, so I am re-posting for her, with apologies if hers come through in the meantime. Cheers - Tiercelin
"I have tried posting to the discussion list tonight, but I am getting bounce backs. If the bounced messages show up on the list during the night, they pretty much say the same thing, though at the time I had posted, I was still waiting on clothing size. I do apologize if you get this more than once!!
First of all, I can not even begin to tell you how blessed we are to have so many wonderful folks in this Kingdom helping in times like this. Many times today I have been overwhelmed with emotion at the outpouring of generosity and kindness that you have all shown my family and I in our time of need!!
The house was located in Scio, NY, which I believe is in the Shire of Harstone.
The dust is beginning to settle little by little. We are still uncertain of the cause, though it was a miracle that the only fatality was the family pup. There are many things that will never be able to be replaced, but my sister, her fiance, and the children are all in one piece physically, and as we are a hardy bunch, they will all heal emotionally with time.
On to specifics. Clothing sizes:
Joe wears a size 32x32 in pants, and an adult sized large in shirts.
Jen wears a women's medium in shirts, a size 6 in jeans and a size 7wide in shoes.
Sky is a tall, husky 12 year old, who wears an adult sized XL in women's shirts, an adult sized 10/12 in women's pants and a size 9 1/2 in women's shoes. (They grow too quick, sometimes!)
The other two kids are actually taken care of. Kyle, the 14 year old boy, splits time between his dad and mom's houses, and had his clothes and "important" stuff at his mom's. Lizz, my 17 year old niece, has been living part time with my father so that she can go to school at another district. That is truly a blessing! (However, Lizz does go to SCA events with us quite often and all of her garb was lost. Any basic garb would be accepted!)
They lost *everything*. They will need to completely rebuild from the bottom up, as far as household supplies, etc. Many people have offered bedding and blankets, which they definitely need, but I can not give bed sizes yet, as they don't have beds, yet. I imagine that they will look at a full sized bed for the two adults and twin sized for each of the kids. My sister mentioned that she would like a Bible and that Sky needs school supplies. Sky had been saving up her money for a while now and finally was able to afford a PS2 last week, which was also lost in the fire. She is into "girl-teeny-bop" types of books, and is into crafts, as is my sister. She likes to do crossstitching and crocheting. They will pretty much need everything as far as house-stuff, toaster, coffeemaker, cleaning supplies, television, alarm clocks, towels and bed linens, pillows, dishes, just everything. We do have ample storage space between my parents, to store
donations. Anything and everything really will be appreciated.
I do apologize for not responding to everyone who has emailed on and off list. It's been such a crazy day, but I want you all to know that everything is so greatly appreciated. I will post within the hour on clothing sizes, and again, give you all my undying gratitude for all of the support, kind words and offers for donations. This Kingdom NEVER ceases to amaze me!!
As the good Lady Tiercelin posted, there will be space at Ice Dragon for anyone who does not know me by face, for donation drop off. I am absolutely touched that both Lady Tiercelin and the Ice Dragon staff, have made this endeavor possible. I've had several moments of tears today, more from the support and encouragement that you've all shown us than anything. Again, I can't begin to tell you how blessed we feel right now to have you all as friends and extended family!
