    It may not be my place to do a public thank you, but the event yesterday 
was so much fun and there were so many people who made it that way, that I 
can't help but use this forum to send a big thank you to everyone who made 
the Gold Chain Tourney such a fun day yesterday in Stormsport.

First - to the Chivalry.  A Gold Chain Tournament without Chivalry would not 
be nearly as special, and the turn out was wonderful.  However, as often 
happens with these sorts of things, there were not as many Chivalry as there 
were challengers, so this left a lot of work for those who did make the 
trip.  Knight after Knight (from at least three Kingdoms) accepted challenge 
after challenge until they were exhausted.  The words from the participants 
were those of gratitude not only for the chance to fight, but also for the 
instruction that was given.

Second - to the participants.  Again, the turn out was large, but not only 
in numbers.  The fighters who came were enthusiastic and excited, and they 
shared that with those who came out to watch.  People took the time to wear 
their best kits, make fine challenges, and provide a wonderful day of 
fighting for the spectators.

Third - to the spectators.  It was nice to have an event with no other 
activities, and yet see the gallery full of people just watching the 
fighters and making sure they had water, food and encouragement.

Lastly - to the Shire of Stormsport.  Thank you for providing a field, a 
format, and all day food.  Even warm drinks and soup to combat the cold! 
The hospitality of the Shire made for a fantastic fall day.  I am not alone 
in being grateful for all they did.
