The PDA shut down Fisher Farms listing a concern about Listeria
contamination in the milk.

They have apparently been issuing reports to create a widespread scares for
raw milk farm products in each local area in this fashion.

The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund website has given a bit of a
different story on the situation that Fisher Farms and other raw milk farms
have been experiencing in Pennsylvania. In a nutshell, they describe a PDA
official with being a megalomaniac and attempting to shut down raw milk farm
distribution in the state with trumped up charges. It is amazing that with
so many genuine problems needing to be addressed that the government is
wasting so much time, money, and manpower to attack farmers seeking to make
an honest living.

You can read more about the situation from the perspective of the FtCLDF
here:

They ask for those concerned to write to Pennsylvania State Representatives
and Senators and give info how to contact them. If concerned individuals at
Pennsic chose to write, that would be a massive influx of support for Fisher
Farms and other raw milk farmers in Pennsylvania.
