So on the topic of consequences..
By the logic set forthwith - and the rationale subsequent the issue..
Then maybe we should demand the resignation of the BOD for allowing our
security to be compromised when HQ was broken into?
And maybe we should ......
Open a long-standing can of worms regarding the individual who broke a
fighters collarbone during a field-battle? (long - UGLY - story here)
And just maybe we should...
Demand if this rule is going to be enforced to this level - that Corpora be
held to the same level of responsibility - and provide verification of
[receipt of] and [processing of] - renewals and other forms of paperwork
that we "in the field" must submit in such timely fashion - and
additionally be held responsible for insuring that (without any cause or
excuse) the processing and return of said materials back to the members -
are forwarded without delay?
No finger pointing - just queries, posers, thoughts...
Yes, there are alternatives to mailing - such as online renewal - HOWEVER -
(from personal experience) - this doesn't always work either.. there have
been a few times I've fought with the online renewals for days trying to get
it to work. Unfortunate as it is, computer/internet is only a slight bit
more dependable than today's USPS - and then only when there's no glitches
or problems in the processing software or with the (gasp - now of course
this could *NEVER happen) financial institution!
Unfortunately we don't live within the Walgreen's City Limits - and our town
isn't called "Perfect" - life happens and allowances should be made (or at
the very least, considered) for honest life-given mishaps.
Personally - I've gone months without seeing an AEstel - and - have even had
to have duplicate cards sent - because my items were never received and
(presumed) lost in the mail... If the membership must be held to a certain
level of responsibility - then so should those who direct the organization
as a whole.
Just my 2 cents..
Dei
