Court report of TRM's Duncan and Ilish from Bog 12th Night on January 19th
A.S. 42 held in the Barony of St Swithin's Bog as reported by THL Matilda
Bosvyle de Bela Acqua, Silver Buccle, with the assistance of Baroness
Orianna Fridrikskona.

TRM's gave leave to Their Excellencies Baron Quinn and Baroness Vivienne for
the purpose of holding Their Court.

Their Majesties presented a gift to Their Excellencies in thanks for Their
hospitality.

The AEthelmearc Kingdom Fencing Marshal, Don Iago Benitez, having reached
the end of his term, came forward to turn over the office to his successor
Don Donnan (the Solitary) Mac Dubhshithe. Their Majesties thanked them both
for their service to the Kingdom.

It was announced that Master Brian of Leichester would take up the burdens
of the previously vacant office of Kingdom Historian.

The participants of the Kingdom Arts & Sciences Champion competition were
called before Their Majesties. Lady Kathryn de Lyon de Saviore, Lady Sofie
Davenport and Baroness Charmaine of Falkensee each received a token from Her
Majesty. Lady Kathryn was named the new Kingdom Champion of Arts. Vivats
were called for her as well as the former Champion THL Juliana Delamare.

Lord Bovi Farmadr was created a Companion of the Order of the Sycamore for
his research into Viking culture and blacksmithing.

Gareth Craig was Awarded Arms and made a Companion of the Keystone for his
service at events and demos (scroll by Cynthia Beloved of Tower).

TRM's called forth Countess Morgen of Rye who turned over to Their keeping
the symbol of the Jewel of AEthelmearc. In return, she received a single
garnet gem. His Majesty spoke of the dedicated service of the gentle They
had chosen to be the next Jewel, of his long standing support of the Crown,
the Kingdom, his Barony and the fencing community. Their Majesties named
Baron Quinn Kerr the 24th Jewel of AEthelmearc (scroll by Baroness Roberta
McMorland).

Her Majesty being somewhat displeased with Mistress Aoibhel of Dun Holen
called her before the Court and demanded that she explain herself. Aoibhel
cautiously inquired if she might have the assistance of one of her protégé's
to defend her honor. Her benevolent Majesty acquiesced. Mistress Aoibhel
turned to consider the members of her household and, thinking out loud,
decided upon "the sober one". THL Bonita of Steltonwald stepped forward and
yet remained speechless when questioned by Her Majesty about what she might
say in defense of her Mistress. "That may be my problem!" exclaimed Aoibhel.
She further pronounced that Bonita was forever autocrating events, riding
around in golf carts, and helping everyone but her. She suggested that
perhaps Their Majesties could guide her in what to do about Bonita. His
Majesty agreed that she required council and that perhaps the council of
some Peers would set things to rights. Their Majesties called for those
members of the most noble Order of the Pelican to come collect Bonita, sit
her at vigil and council her so that she might return to answer to Their
Majesties at the Winter Event in Stormsport (scroll by Allesandra d'
Avignon).

Michela of Summerville (in absentia) was Awarded Arms and given into the
Order of the Keystone for her outstanding work as chronicler (wording by
Caitilin ni Mhaolchonaire and Elizabeth Thorne).

Their Majesties thanked all of those good gentles who worked to make the
event such an enjoyable one.

Court was closed.
