Now that the season of nice is over, it's time to get naughty!
The Barony of Delftwood is holding the annual Feast of the Seven Deadly Sins
on February 16, 2008 at the May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church on
Genesee St. (Route 92) just a couple of minutes off of I-481 in Syracuse,
NY. We will be sinning our way across the Silk Road with themed contests,
games, and more. The dayboard will start in Japan, and the Feast itself
will slowly wind its way through six more stops on the Silk Road before a
seventh course of decadent desserts. The site allows wine/mead and beer,
but not hard liquor, so bring the former and have a good time.
What will we have to entertain you?
Fencing! Fencing! Fencing!
Also:
An A&S Competition (Silk Road/Seven Deadly Sins theme)
A Sotelty Competition (Silk Road/Seven Deadly Sins theme)
A Bardic Competition (Silk Road/Seven Deadly Sins theme)
A Japanese Tea Ceremony (4 sittings of 10 people each - donations welcome to
offset the cost of the ceremonial tea)
A coffeehouse with an ongoing Hoffla (so bring drums and dancing feet!)
A game to build the best caravan through the day (buy, sell, barter your way
to a great prize!)
A brewer's roundtable (wine/mead and beer are okay. no hard liquor)
Other entertainments, and…
… After a several-year absence, the original sinful spot, the palace of
pleasure, the arena of adult activities... yes! the Den of Iniquity will
return! (you must be an adult to enter the Den of Iniquity)
All for the low, low price of $7.00 for the day and an additional $7.00 for
the feast (children 6-14 are $4.00 for the day and additional $3.00 for the
feast, children under 5 are free. The $3.00 non-member surcharge is in
effect on non-discounted fees). Feast is limited and slots are filling up,
so register early! With the speed the feast slots are filling up, the only
good reservations are most definately paid reservations. Please make checks
out to "SCA Inc, Barony of Delftwood" and mail reservations to: "SCA Inc.,
Barony of Delftwood/P.O. Box 6694/Syracuse, NY 13217"
Bring your fencers, bring your drums, bring your saris, bring your Mongolian
Hoardes, and sin with us this February.
