[SCA-AE] last plea

I really hope you are going for the "dramatic" nature of the last few lines of your post. I am not sure where, in this kingdom, you reside, but you may want to consider this:

  Maybe people, in your area, have commited themselves elsewhere, making it impossible to help out where you need it. 

  In my area, of the kingdom, if we find ourselves shorthanded, we do a "grab" recruitment, at what ever event we need the help in. Meaning, you go up to people, and say-"I need your help for a moment, here is what we need to accomplish." We would never tell anyone that they we are ashamed of them, or that they do not think highly of their kingdom because they have other things they are commited to.

  At one of our summer events, about 3 years ago, my son, 11 years at the time, started helping, in the kitchen, around 10:30 in the morning, and finished around 10 pm, after all of the work was completed. He chose to help, when he saw that some was needed. My husband was on the battlefield all day, and I was minding our merchant stand and our toddler, so we couldn't lend a hand, so, our 11 year old, chose to give up his whole day, to help others in need, and has done so every event we attend, ever since. 

  I may, at times, get upset or feel hurt, by people's actions or lack there of, in our kingdom and barony, but I would never say such harsh words at our whole kingdom.

  A thought would be to look to all how are actually attending this event, for help, first, do not attack the whole kingdom, because there are those of us, who are good people, and who do help, on a regular basis, that take offense to such words.

there to help. But not one person from my own kingdom responded. I 
am ashamed and disgusted. I cannot believe that this entire kingdom 
thinks so little of her fighters or her people as to not lend help in 
time of need.
