Thank you to one and all who helped us make the Archer's to the Wald
event held on Sept. 22, such a fabulous success. Each and every one who
attended had a wonderful time. It was great to see all of the archer's
running from one shoot to another trying to decide which range to shoot
at next! The numerous arrows and bolts that were sent flying were also
joined by axes, knives, atlatls, swords and pole arms cutting though
the air as well. The evening was topped off by a fabulous feast
accented with the sampling of many home-made cordials, beers and other
distilled delights, much to the delight of the famous Steltonwald
Drinking Guild!

First and foremost, I must thank my co-autocrat, archery co-ordinator
and husband, THL Fintan na Coilled, for all the hard work he put in to
helping this event happen. I could not have done it without him.

Secondly, I would like to thank all of the archers, with an extra
special thank you to all who ran ranges, marshalled, coached, or
taught, including Lord Bóvi Farmaðr, who acted as our Range Captain as
well as holding a clout shoot, Lady Cionaodh Gunn for hosting our
children's range, THL Ce'tach Fitzgibbon for his crossbow range, Master
Ghille MacDhouil for bringing his Iron Helm Shoot, Deryk the Archer for
running the Spook Shoot walk-thru range and THLord Urho Waltterinen for
running the Viking Walk-thru range. There were other novelties set up
thru-out the day as well. Thank you to Master Jacopo di Nicolo, THLord
Ce'tach, and Lady Alana Griffin for teaching classes. And a special
thanks to all who coached archers, including Master Gwilym O'r Afonydd
Tair, THL Brad Boda, THL Laochlin Silverwolf, and THL Fintan na
Coilled, as well as all the other Scarlet Guard who were in attendance.

Thank you to Lord Gabriel Hawkes for organizing the Heavy Weapons
including a Bear Pit tourney, and thank you to Lady Julianna Delamere
who stepped in as our MOL. Thank you to Lady Anlaith ingen Trena for
running both the Thrown Weapons and Atlatl ranges and her help,
Giovannin Magrino, Ro and Robert the Baker.

Next, I would like to thank our Feastocrat, Countess Aidan ni Leir. Her
food was delightful. She was assisted throughout the day by Mistress
Cassadoria Finialla, Her Excellency Aoibheil of Dun Holen, His
Excellency Geoffrey fitz David, THLady Allesandra d'Avignon, THLady
Bonita of Steltonwald, THLord Brandubh O'Donnghaille, Lady Ailleann
ingen Proinnsias, Lady Marian of Blackwood, and Brianna of Steltonwald.

Thank you to Lady Madeleine de l'Este and Muirgheal inghen Dubhghaill
for their help with troll and reservations, THLady Ysabell Graver for
her coaching, and THLord Brandubh O'Donnghaille for organizing clean-up
and all of his busy helpers. If I forgot anyone, I do apologize, but
know that we could not have had so much fun had you not assisted.

It was a great time. We look forward to seeing you all there next year!

THLady Gianna di Aurelio
Autocrat

I would be remiss if it did not extend
