[SCA-AE] OT: update on Helen Lorene Macek part II

Hello everyone,
   
  The latest news is good in the most part, but there is some scariness along with it.  Helen has been taken off of the morphine drip and is very alert and active (well, as active as she can be connected to a bunch of wires and tubes).  They are taking out the ventilator tomorrow (She hasn't needed it, but they thought the extra oxygen would lessen the shock of everything else going on with her body right now...)  On the scary side, the hole in her heart is leaking into her lungs.  The doctor's wish are going to give the medication they are providing two chances to work and if they do not, Helen will need open heart surgery next week.  Obviously, for her size and weight, that is the last resort, but one that will have to be taken if the medication doesn't do the trick.  As time permits, I'll keep sending updates.  In the meanwhile, I'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes.  They seem to be helping!
