To celebrate Great Western Wars Tenth Anniversary there will be a
limited number of cast pewter pilgrim badge site tokens produced. To
ensure you get one we suggest pre-registering, as a token will be
produced for each person who Pre-registers. Another batch will be made
available at gate for those who register on site, while supplies last.
LAND ALLOCATION:
Is Limited to Kingdom Royal encampments. Everything else is first come
first served.
ATTENTION: In an effort to be fair to those who can not arrive early -
Those who are pre-registered and arriving on Tuesday may reserve land
for others who have also Pre-registered. On Wednesday all land is
first come first served. So make sure everyone in your group is
registered before September 15, 2007.
EQUESTERIAN:
Anyone bringing horses MUST submit a GWW - EQ Registration Form to the
equestrian autocrat by Sept 15, 2007. A limited number of pipe stalls
are available for a cost of $25 for the whole event. Reservations and
payment for horse pens must be made by August 31, 2007. No rental
horses are available at this time (please check back as this may
change).
ARTS & SCIENCES:
Online Class Pre-registration is now being accepted; please visit
http://caid-gww.org/classes.html for more information
WATER BEARING:
Great Western War is coming upon us in the very near future, and we
need your help! If you have the urge to help our many great fighters,
we are accepting donations for waterbearing! Oranges, powdered not-red
Ade of Gator and pickles are what we need most! (We would certainly
not turn our nose up at time volunteered at War, either!) Anything you
can spare would be a boon to us all - please don't hesitate to be
generous. We would be most humbly appreciative of anything you could
spare for the war and would sing your praise loud and long.
If we find we are running short of oranges and Ade of Gator, we would
gladly accept wheelbarrows, as we may be needing them to get the
fighters off the field!
VOLUNTEERS
You've heard the old saying that "many hands make light work". Please
consider donating a few hours of your time to volunteer at the war. In
addition to helping to make it a memorable event you will earn a
monetary donation to your favorite SCA territory. Please visit
<http://www.caid-gww.org/gwwvolunteer/volunteerpositions.php>
http://www.caid-gww.org/gwwvolunteer/volunteerpositions.php to select
and sign up for really choice shifts and time slots. This year, with a
new site, volunteers are needed more than ever.
MERCHANTS:
The deadline for all merchant packets to be received by the Merchant
Steward has now passed. No more packets will be accepted.
Please check our list of Merchants Attending to see old favorites
returning and many new faces to meet.
Please remember that any donation requests from merchants for events
to be held during GWW X are to be coordinated through the Merchant
Steward's office. Please submit your requests no later than September
15th, 2007. The only person authorized to solicit donations from
merchants during Great Western War X is the Merchant Steward.
Please contact the merchant Steward with any questions.
