Greetings,

Sterlynge Vayle was please to entertain our friends this past Saturday at another wonderful Bards and Bows event. Everyone seemed to have a great time at our little gathering of friends and neighbors, and the food was amazing, as always.

I would like to thank the following people for helping out to put this event together:

Lady Anne Diarmat for cooking the great food for us, and her helpers in the kitchen, Lady Bianca Sadie (who helped out after giving birth to Austin only 16 days earlier!), Jessica, and Rebecca.

Our bards: Baroness Clarice Roan who taught a class on poetry, and Gwendolyn the Graceful who taught a class on SCAdian songs and also entertained us during the feast.

Lady Marianna Pietrosanti and Lady Rainagh of Wexford for setting up and running the archery field. Lord Robert O'Connor for setting up the heavy weapons field, and for making all of the site tokens. Lord Rundwulfe for putting out the signs that helped everyone get to the site. Lady Keran Roslin for setting up the changing rooms. THL Georg Anne and Lady Etain ingen Dalaig for helping me with Troll.

I'd like to help everyone who helped with clean up. These included all of the people above, as well as Lord Eoghan Rurikson, Lord Malcolum Fitzwilliam, Susian Thorntoon, Ailenor Malcolum, and Michael of Exeter - who is not even in our shire, but stayed to help wash dishes for hours after the feast.

I apologize to those I have left out - it truly was a great group effort. It has been a long time since our shire has done a one day event, and it was wonderful to see everyone pull together to get everything done, and cleaned up, on time. Thank you to Lord Eoghan Rurikson and Lady Anne Diarmat who offered the hospitality of their home as a site for the post-event de-stress party.

And finally, I want to offer a special thanks to my husband, Lord Robert O'Connor, for helping me to plan, organize, and co-autocrat this event.
