RHYDDERICH HAEL BARONIAL INVESTITURE
The populace of the Rhydderich Hael announces the election of a new Baron.
THL Caleb Reynolds has been chosen as successor to Their Excellencies Baron
William Freskyn Murray and Baroness Katherine Kiersey, and we wish to
celebrate the passing of the Coronet. The investure of our new Baron will
take place on Saturday, December 15th, 2007, at the Universal Unitarian
Church at 6320 Main Street, Williamsville, New York 14221. Site opens at
9:00 AM, and closes at 10:00 PM. Court begins at 10:00 AM.
We wish to welcome the return of a bachelor Baron with story and song, and
will be holding a Bardic Competition after the feast, with a very nice
prize. Judging will be by popular acclaim, with the acclaim of the Royals
being definitely both popular and welcomed. Other activities this day
include situational fencing - during which you may witness or participate in
strange happenings. We anticipate dancing; this is a ball after all. And
look out for a drum circle forming in the hall (bring your own drums). A
basket raffle is being run by the Tribe of Tuatha Fieren, with some very
interesting items as usual. They plan on doing it as a silent auction, so
you can check out all the baskets first.
We're holding a Caitlin Deidre Memorial Chocolate Dessert Contest, with a
substantial prize for the winner. For more information, contact Master
Brandric Slayrock, E-mail brandric1 at netscape.com <mailto:brandric1 at juno.com>
. Entries will be on display, and must be in by 2:00 PM, as their Majesties
and other Royal Peers will be picking their favorites and the winner. All
remaining desserts will be served to the populace following their meal.
There is a coffee cafe being organized with hot beverage available during
the day, and some special ones being prepared for after feast.
An elegant feast will be served at 4:30 PM, but limited to 75 gentles.
However, there will be an all day sideboard available to the populace, and
space for off-board. Price (in US funds) is $7.00 site fee for adults, half
price for children under 12, and those under 5 are free, with a family cap
of $20.00, not including feast. The feast will cost $7.00 per person, and
include first choice of the chocolate desserts. Site is discretely damp and
open flames are permitted. For reservations, contact Lady Maria Catarina da
Rauvenna (Darlene Schmigiel), 8850 Transit Road, East Amherst, NY 14051,
