Please forward this to individual group lists, households, and families, for distribution. Wed love to get a nice number of Youth entries this year, and your help is key to our success.
Youth Artists, Rejoice!
You know your parents are sweating and toiling over their Ice Dragon entries. Lucky for the youth of the kingdom, entering in the youth categories is easy! Ice Dragon now has new and improved Youth Categories. If you are a youth (anyone aged 17 or younger) and you practice an art form, then this competition is for you. There are 2 categories:
****Novice (aged 3 to 11)****
****Singles (aged 12 to 17)***
Its easy to figure out how to enter. Just pick one of the categories, above, and tell the people at the registration table which category you are entering.
Advanced teen artists are welcome to compete at the adult level, if they wish! Enter your artwork as an *Adult Novice* in one of the many adult categories!
You might have a terrific piece at home, ready to enter. Maybe youre working on a piece right now. Maybe you have a terrific idea for a piece. Theres still time to complete your art project in time to enter. Ice Dragon is 1 week away.
Kids, teens, anyone aged 17 and under are eligible to enter the youth categories. Younger kids might need some adult help to finish their project. Thats OK. Weve taken that into consideration. You can give us a percentage to let us know how much work the adult helped with.
Well need some minimal documentation, which parents can help write or type. Please make sure its in the Youths own words. You can read all the judging criteria, so you know what to write about, at this link: http://www.lightlink.com/rhiannon/Ice_Dragon_07/YOUTH%20ENTRIES%20guidelines.htm
We look forward to seeing your piece on display at Ice Dragon. Good luck to all the entrants!
