Entertainment factor is a HIGH demand in my book.

If they are inaccurate on how they portray certain aspects, so be it, but make it fun to watch.

If any of you sat through A Knights Tale, and noticed the zipper...
Who cared about that, the action was fun, the girl was cute if way too waifish for my tastes, and Chaucer did a passable job at being a lout. :D

I haven't watched any TV but kids shows and Discovery channel for almost 3 years now, so I will take people's opinions for what they are...
I couldn't stand the reality tv shows any more, and had to "step away from the babysitter" err TV. :D

(And if you recognized that quote... then good for you)

I agree.
I can't believe the nitpicking about authenticity. If I wanted
historical accuracy, I wouldn't be watching TV: I'd be heading for the
closed stacks at the Carnegie Library main branch, with a stack of
request slips in my grubby little palm.
What I wanted from the new "Robin Hood" series was light entertainment,
and I got it (of course this included stopping the recording and making
the appropriate snarky comments, such as the dyer's daughter with the
*serious* blue eyeshadow, when necessary).
I liked the old show "Covington Cross", too -- and we know how
historically accurate *that* was. :-)
