[SCA-AE] A challenge to our Youth and Thir parents

Greetings to all the wonderful people in Aethelmear from Elisabeth 
Johanna von der Flossenburg, Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences

Pennsic is almost upon us.  I had wanted to make this announcement at 
the artisan's tea, Thursday of war week starting at 3 pm.  But since I 
am not totally sure that I will be able to make it to Pennsic, and I 
know there are those of you out there who out of whatever reasons also 
cannot make it to Pennsic, so I guess I will let you know now.

I would like to issue a challenge and a Quest to the Youth of 
Aethelmearc, ages 9 thrugh 17.  The Challenge is as follows:

I challenge the Youth of Aethelmearc (and their parents, since they may 
need a little help) to organize, meaning autocrat and coordinate the 
Fall Academy next year.
I would l,ike the Youth of our Kingdom to show us adults that YOU are 
very much capable to autocrat, coordinate, teach an Aecademy.  I have a 
lot of faith in our future.  Please take up this challenge.

In order to prepare for it I would like to send all our Youth on the 
following quest:

Prepare one or more classes you can teach at any event in the hall.  
One on One or to a group, that is up to you.  By teaching your class or 
classes you can see what areas you need to improve, how your class is 
accepted, how your students like it, and also how comfortable you feel 
teaching.

In preparatio for this quest I asked Her Excellency Mistress Aidan to 
make books.  I want every youth who wants to participate in this quest 
to contact me and get a journeyman book from me ( the books Mistress 
Aidan is making for this occasion)

Historically after an apprectice ledt hs master's house to go on his 
"Journeyman Journey",he would have a book i which each Master he would 
work for would write an evaluation.  These evaluations would be 
presented to the Guild Masters when the Journeyman applied for his 
Master's Exam.

I our case I want YOU to have your "Journeyman's book" and have the 
autocrat of the event verify tha you taught a class at his or her 
event, and if you like have your students jot an evaluation in the book 
as well.

At the end of the quest, the date of the Fall AEcademy next year I 
would like to have the "full" journeyman books turned in to me. The 
person, who taught the most classes will receive a prize from me, the 
person with the most interesting comments will get a price from me, and 
the youngest of all the "journeyman" will get a price from me.

I asked Her Excellency Mistress Aidan to bring one of the Journeyman 
books to the Artisan Tea, Thursday of war Week, 3 pm at Aethelmearc 
Royal.  Anyone who would like to see it or wants more information, 
please stop and talk with us.  Should I due to the accident I had last 
month, not be able to be there please email me.  You can also ask Lady 
Juliana Delamere, the Aecademy Chancellor.

Come on Future of Aethelmearc quest and proof to all of us how much you 
do know and can do!
