This conversation does tend to resurface every few years.

While I have no problem with the use of the term Troll.
I believe that correct term would be:

Porter.
n. Chiefly British.
One in charge of a gate or door.
[Middle English, from Anglo-Norman, from Late Latin portarius, from Latin 
porta, gate
