Ok. I'm gonna join in on this one.

I've spent a few hours in the booth at pennsic war. 90
hours registered this past war alone in the toll
booth.

Troll is a word I hear and respond to a lot. Honestly
am quite used to it. I can't stand it though.

Feastocrat? No. Head cook. Autocrat? No. Event
Steward. (This was the term I wanted used when I ran
my first event 4 years ago.) Troll? No. Tollner or
Gatekeeper.

We push for authentic armour. We push for authentic
clothes. We push for authentic names, arms, and even
for authentic furniture in camps in some cases.

Why shouldn't we push for more period correct
terminology for those positions we have in the
society. Especially those positions which are deal
with the newer members of the society.

If we want them to be more authentic with everything
else we should give them a good example to start with
right off the bat.

In service,
