[SCA-AE] A little ditty...

So it was suggested at Opening Ceremonies, after the assembled populace had
finished singing "Banners of Scarlet" that - since we prefer not to spill
blood in the SCA - another course of lyric would be more appropriate. The
course was also suggested, and it set off many firings in my brain.

It was requested by a few that I post the silliness that came out. So, with
many thanks to and the permission of the original artist, I share with
you...





Bruises, fight for the colors of
Bruises, fight til you're covered with
Bruises, with blows from the foe!
Heed to the horn, to battle we go.

Purple, my shoulders are mottled with
Purple, tender and aching they're
Purple, I need tiger balm!
I think there's one as big as my palm.

Greenish, some of them are turning
Greenish, those must be older they're
Greenish, there's one on my back.
Someone got in a really good whack.

Orange, what the hell? How is it
Orange, that can't be normal it's
Orange, there's one on my ass!
Maybe I should have just taken a class.

Bruises, my body is covered in
Bruises, red black and yellow of
Bruises, from giants of men!
I think tomorrow I'll go fight again.
