Do I need one of these background checks if a minor wants to cry
lists at Crown Tourney? How about to serve as listrunners? I have
been known to invite young people to play with the heralds, and we
enjoy having them help us. How many minors have to volunteer to be
listrunners for that to become a "youth activity?"

I remember back when I was a child, I absolutely loathed anything
that smacked of "kids' activities." I always felt very proud and
grown-up when I was invited to help with things adults were doing,
however. I wonder whether this new policy will discourage adults
from inviting children to participate in many things; that would be
sad for both adults and children.

Just my 2 cents,
