[SCA-AE] Peer Density/Dispersal was Peerage

I think Diego's comment was misunderstood here. *grins* I'm from Coppertree as well so let me clarify.
In density of Peers Coppertree is probably one of the densest.
I can think of perhaps.... a dozen non peers who regularly play within the shire. And half again that that play regularly who are Peers.
Royal peers, knights, laurels and pelicans and just about every combination there of (I think we are only missing a quad peer to have the whole set.) are all represented in our shire.
There isn't a single person in this shire who doesn't know 3 peers. The question isn't knowing them up here. Its whether or not they are willing to risk their reputation on your decisions.
Even those who have been in the society long enough to know how the game is played and could be good rulers can have a bad day and make a total ass of themself.
Hell....I challenge anyone to say they haven't at some point given someone a bad impression because they were having a bad day and let their tongue loose before their brain properly filtered their words.
Now. Don't get me wrong. I honestly think that anyone who wants to fight in crown should be someone who has been active in the SCA for quite some time before they try for the crown. I know that that is one of the various reasons I've yet to begin seriously training to make my wife Queen. (If I ever sit the throne every one can be sure that Wynn is the one making all the decisions and I'm just following her orders!)
I'd also like to apologize for opening this particular can of flesh eating worms. *Laughs*
In service,

Oh, that's not hard to find. Heck, I've been accused of being dense, myself.
Allow me to suggest that having a prospective Crown contender coming from a Peer-poor area of the Kingdom does not of itself support a protest against the three-Peer endorsement requirement. Let us presume that the prospective King seldom leaves that Peer-poor location and knows few outside of it, under circumstances in which the successful contender will be expected to make appeareances Kingdom-wide, from Coppertree to Port Oasis, and to understand those areas well enough to preside over their problems as well as their delights. Let us presume further that neither our contender nor his or her consort have played long enough, nor traveled widely enough, to know three Peers between them who would be willing to attest to their suitability for the throne.
I think that leads us right back to my original comments.
