Being the Report of the Court of Their Majesties, Christopher and
Morgen, King and Queen of Æthelmearc, with Her Excellency, Tatyana,
Baroness of the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands in attendance.
Court held on March 31, AS 41 (2007), at the Canterbury Tales event
in Their Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands. Giulietta da Venezia,
Reporting Herald with the assistance of Lady Anlaith ingen Trena.

Master Creature Twyne Dragon and THLady Myfanwy ferch Rhiannon
announced the winners of the day's quests: Master Alaric MacConnal
proved victorious in the Canterbury Tales quest, and Lord Edmundo
Francisco Cercatore da Monreale won the "Who Am I?" quest based upon
the Tales.

Lord Edmundo Francisco Cercatore da Monreale announced the winners of

adult category, and Eleanora Enkazi won in the youth category.

Sir Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono announced the victors in the heavy
weapons tournaments: Sir Finn Marland O'Shannon proved victorious in
the crestfallen tourney, with Lord Brad winning the "best crest" prize.

Lord Charles de Cayeux announced the winner of the day's rapier
tournament: Lord Clewin Kupferhelbelinc.

Freya Ramsey was awarded arms for her service in numerous kitchens
throughout our Kingdom. Scroll to be forthcoming.

Talon was awarded arms in absentia for his skill in heavy weapons
combat and his skill in leatherworking. Scroll scrivened by THLady
Antoinette de la Croix and limned by Her Excellency, Una de Saint Luc.

Their Majesties invited Mistress Karana Yabokchi to attend Them,
whereupon (to nobody's surprise), she offered them a plate of
culinary delicacies. She also asked whether They had had any word of
another gentle famed for culinary delicacies; Their Majesties noted
that They hoped to have word soon.

Their Majesties summoned Master Alastar Scott MacCrummin into Their
Presence, and asked whether he had taken counsel of the Companions of
the Most Noble Order of the Pelican, as They had instructed some time
ago. Master Alastar replied that he had taken such counsel and would
be pleased to accede to Their Majesties' wishes and proceed with
elevation to such Order. Their Majesties then called forth the
Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Pelican, and as is
customary, asked to hear words concerning Master Alastar. Having
heard from His Excellency, Syr Bera the Wallsbane; Sir Kadan
Chakhilgan ger on Echen; Master Creature Twyne Dragon; Mistress
She'erah bat Shlomo; and Her Excellency, Judith of Kirtland, Their
Majesties declared Themselves pleased with all They had heard, and
asked that Alastar be invested with regalia appropriate to his new
station. Their Majesties called for a cloak, placed about Alastar's
shoulders by his lady wife, THLady Myfanwy ferch Rhiannon, and noted
that several medallions were present: the Ancestral Medallion of
AEthelmearc, presented by Master Creature Twyne Dragon; the medallion
of Master Johan von Traubenberg, who had long argued with Alastar
over the virtues of Pelican kitchens vs. Laurel kitchens, presented
by his lady wife, Her Excellency, Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope; and
a medallion made specially for Alastar by the hand of Her Excellency,
Mistress Aleea Bagah. Their Majesties then received Alastar's Oath
of Fealty, and presented him to the assembled populace. Promissory
scroll by Her Excellency, Mistress Graidhne ni Ruaidh.

Their Majesties asked to have words with Mistress Amaryllis Coleman.
They noted with praise not only her many years of clothing the
populace, but also her years of teaching others the tailor's and
costumer's arts, and her happy talent for turning shapeless piles of
cloth into wondrous forms of clothing. They then summoned the
Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Laurel, and instructed
Amaryllis to take counsel of them, that she might return before Their
successors, Rurik and Angelik, at the AEthelmearc 10th Year
Celebration, there to answer the question whether she will accept
elevation to said Order. Scroll by Hrefna in heppna Thorgrimsdottir.

The Court of Their Majesties was closed.
