Trinity United Methodist Church 131 N 9th St Olean, NY 14760

As the Harvest is in, the animals sequestered safely once again, and the seasons change, we, in the Incipient Shire of Blackwater, under the sponsorship of the Shire of Heronter, invite the Glorious Populace of AEthelmearc and her friends to join us in celebration of Hallowtide. We are thrilled to host this event at Trinity United Methodist Church 131 N 9th St Olean, NY 14760. Site opens at 9:00 am and closes at 9:00pm. As the days grow shorter and the winter chill is in the air, knowing that the winter storms are to soon break upon us, gather with us to feast and listen to the tales of old. 

The Dawn of the Dead Tourney will encircle the fighters as we have melee combat indoors and a Werewolf Tourney will bring back defenders of the Hallowtide. 

We haven’t forgotten the rapier – Oh No – fencers will also have their skills tested. Come and defend your title of the great rapier defender of hallowtide.

Her Grace, Duchess Anne Blackleaf has graciously consented to amuse and devise nefarious schemes to entertain the youth that dare to attend. Even to the extent of having a Pumpkin/Jack-o-Lantern contest! 

There will be other various classes conducted by various gentles.

There will also be a silent auction to raise funds for the Shire and a gas card for travel needs of the royals of our Glorious Kingdom.

Feast will be presented by Lady Emma Idone, of 3 removes. (Misty Bebko, 4115 S. 9 Mile Rd. Allegany, NY 14706 – Please contact her reference the feast and any allergies – 716 373 4008 before 9pm.

The Shire of Heronter will be holding a fundraiser (for a new Pennsic Trailer) and will be offering a bag lunch at a reasonable cost. In order to make sure there is enough food please email Baroness Marguerite de la Marche at seneschal at aethelmearc.org letting her know if you plan to attend and how many will be with you.



And to entice you further – cost for the site fee is $7.00 per adult of 18 years of age. Those of ages of 10 to 17 years pay only $4.00, and those under 10 get in free. The $3.00 non-member fee will be collected at Troll, so please bring proof of membership. Feast is $8.00 from 10 years old to and including adult, and under 10 is free. 

This is a dry site and only service animals are permitted.

Directions – Due to the enormous amount of construction in the area, directions may be complex. Please be assured that there will be signs posted. 

>From the East: Take your best route to Interstate 86 (Route 17) to Olean, NY. 
>From the east, get off at the Hinsdale, Rte 16 exit (Exit 27), turn left towards Olean and proceed about 7 miles. You will see the Hospital on your left. Please see below for further directions.

>From the west, get off at the Olean, Rte 16 exit (exit 26) and turn right towards Olean. Again you should proceed about ¾ mile and you will see the Hospital on the left. Please see below for further directions.

With the hospital on your left: 

Proceed straight about 8 lights to the intersection of State Street and North Union Rd. Turn Right on West State Street and go 9 blocks (if you pass the AutoZone Store you have gone one block too far) Turn right on N. 9th St. The Trinity United Methodist Church is about half way on your left.
