[SCA-AE] Regarding the Siege of Glen Gary

Just wanted to post that the Siege of Glen Gary was a
huge success, and the Silver Apple is now safely back
where it belongs.  A big thank you to all those good
gentles who came to our aid, and helped teach those
Atlantian thugs, and Bandits from the East, a thing or
two.  Our good King and Beautiful Queen came to
oversee the protection of our faire Shire, and we were
proud to march behind them and defeat the enemy. Then
they did preside over a feast fit for , well, a King! 
Many thanks to the archers (both combat, and
competition), the Fencers, and the youth combattants,
who did their part to show what the Shire of Slyvan
Glen, and the Kingdom of AEthelmearc are made of.
(This was a special day, with arrows flying, Fencers
fencing, and the youth receiving tokens of Valor from
those in attendance).  A special thank you to Julietta
Delamere - I am so sorry I killed the thrown weapons
target!  I won't do it again.   I bow in awe of the
talents of those who entered our A&S competition.  I
marvel at the courage of those who entered our Bardic
competition (getting up before people to sing, recite
poety, or tell a story is a scary, scary, thing). I
sit at the feet of Guiletta, our Kingdom's Herald - a 
true gift from God, who was patient with this bumbling
herald and her first time at court. Many thanks to the
citizens of Highland Foorde (thugs tho they maybe) for
keeping our apple safe and well for a whole year. 
Hopefully, we will see many of you next year, when
those greedy Atlantian once again try to steal our
beloved silver apple.
