To all & sundry, greetings from Baron Fridrikr Tomasson, Rubrics
Coordinator for the Ice Dragon Pentathlon.
As we begin the autumn, it is not too soon to begin thinking of the end
of winter, the time of rain, snow, mud, and the Passing of the Ice
Dragon.
This year, as in years past, I am honored to be coordinating the
development & use of rubrics in the judging of the Ice Dragon
Pentathlon. In the past years, we have successfully used rubrics for
Fiber Arts: Embroidery, Post-1500 Clothing, Cooking, Calligraphy,
Illumination, and Metal-Working.
It is my hope that the next pentathlon, in March 2007, will see all of
these, plus several more rubrics being used. However, I cannot do this
alone. The development of rubrics is a volunteer activity.
Thus, I write to all of Aethelmearc today (plus those other friends of
our beauteous realm who come upon these words).
If you are interested in participating in this project, in helping to
write a rubric, please contact me!
If you have promised before but have fallen short, all is forgiven!
But, please, get back at it! Please contact me!
If you are intrigued by the notion of rubrics but have no idea of what
I'm talking about, please contact me!
My goal is to have rough drafts in by 1 January and final products
edited & posted to the Aethelmearc A&S website & elsewhere, by 1
February.
I can be reached at fridrikr at rochester.rr.com or at
rubrics at rochester.rr.com.
YIS,
