[SCA-AE] The shield arm armor

 Greetings to all:

<<I have been fighting for ten years now (not as long as others I am sure
but it is a while now) and I have never (no not a one, and that is not a
request for people to try) had a blow land to my elbow on my shield arm.  My
strap for my shield is slung over the inside of my elbow.  Additionally, I
have an inch of padding under the length of my arm as well as an elbow pad
on at all times.>>

In terms of data, in 18 years of fighting I have been hit in the elbow
several times, and I admit that the blows were "flukes" and didn't land
hard.  All the same I was happy for my standard elbow protection.  Wearing
it certainly didn't cramp my style.  FYI I fought with a narrow kite shield,
so narrow that the elbow was only 3-4" from the edge.
