[SCA-AE] ANNOUNCE: Tourney(s) at Endless Hills Baronial Investiture 11/11/06

  Good gentles one and all, 
   
  I find that I was remiss in submitting this for everyone to know....because of that I humbly ask for your forgiveness.

  There will be a heavy weapons tournament at the Endless Hills Baronial Investiture. 
   
  This will be a Viking box tourney.  This is basically a double elimination tourney held in a confined fighting area. Exit the area, and you have fallen to your death into the icy waters of the Fjords.
   
  The tourney is open to all who are attending the event. 
   
  There will be a prize for the victor of the tourney. 
   
  ------
  It is also my understanding that there will be a tourney of some sort (I do not know the format) for Fencers at our Baronial Investiture. 
   
  So while you are packing for the event tonight or tomorrow, bring your armor, your weapons, and your viking attitudes (i.e. let's fight, fight some more, and oh, if there is time, let's fight even more) and join us for the revelry and pageantry of the Barony of Endless Hills. 
   
  Fighting of course is only one aspect of the event, as the primary focus is to celebrate the last 3 years of service that Baron Robert and Baroness Isabella have provided to the kingdom, and to celebrate the investing of our new Baron, Ulrich Drachendonner. 
  In addition, there will be 
   * An Arts and Sciences display, to show the depth and breath of knowledge and skill of our artisans. 
   * Childrens activities through out the day (with the assistance of volunteers). 
   * A Silent Auction. ... Come bid on some WONDERFUL pieces all donated by the generosity of our populace.  
  * The lunch repast is to be served forth by the hand of one of our youths (Ian Eiriksson -- makes a dad proud). Assisted by various members of our Cooks guild (huzzah their support) 
   * A feast brought to you by the culinary talents of Murdoch Bayne, and his lovely wife. 
   * A Brewers Guild meeting is to be held. 
   And numerous other activities that you'll have to come to the event to see.

  Vivat for our incoming Baron. May your tenure as Baron be happy and fruitful.
