I started to experience information overload in the dagger class, so I took
a break and walked to watch the rattan fighting for awhile. Noticing the
Tuchux banner, I went over to say hi to some of my friends, and was
recognized only by the people who *really* know me - the rest used to know
me by my armor. I helped a fighter with his badly torqued knee and helped
the new "dogs" with the concepts of 1. the first aid station is there to be
used, and 2. it's OK to ask security for a ride back to camp instead of
walking on it.

I was getting big thumbs-up from some Western knight, and it occurred to me
that you usually don't see fluffy Rennaisance-persona dressed people helping
the sweaty barbarians. I felt like I was going incognito.

Fencing, meeting people I generally didn't have the time to talk to in the
past, and with it's new accoutrements, felt like an entirely new persona.
It felt invigorating and I had a grand time.

Another good moment was when I ran the Ironrose Tourney, and was awarding
the winner a replica sword. Then Lord Lyon jumped forth and yelled: "Wait!
Don't do it! Don't ever take a sword from a lady dressed in white!" The
sun was beating down, so I had nothing but a white linen shift on (and a hat
and a belt and a lots of sunscreen...)

It was also fun watching our own lady Ariella harpseal her opponents :-)
